Etna, also called Mongibello by the locals, is located in Sicily, an Italian island in the Mediterranean. It is the largest and most active volcano in Europe. It is so consistently erupting that in 2021 it was recorded to have increased approximately 30 metres (100 ft) in height from the volcanic material accumulation.
